Well, this was not what she expected when she was told that she was needed. When her father decided to drag herself and Jack away from the James residence to take them to go get more morphs, she did not expect him dragging them all the way to the Zoo. THE ZOO. OF ALL PLACES.
So here she was, wandering around as her father led the way, keeping herself close to Jack. Her father walked ahead, Zoo map in hand (upside down, by the way), and muttering to himself. This man was where Samantha got her sense of direction. Her father was lucky that he could find his way to work in the morning, let alone where these animals he wanted these two to acquire. "Now, I could have sworn it was over here.... Maybe... It was over here?"
Samantha sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as she continued following after her father. "Dad, shouldn't you just ask for directions if you have no idea where you're-"
[/b] "I know where I'm going Sam-I-Am!" he declared cheerfully, picking up the pace as they came to an enclosure with the white and Siberian tigers. Samantha tilted her head lightly as her father stopped, right between the tigers and the bird enclosure nearby, and turned to face them. This area was rather deserted, but then again they had been let into the Zoo when it was technically closed due to her father's connections... "Anyway. Now, for the reason why we are here," he started, looking them both in the eye and soon he folded his map and placed it in his pocket. "You, Flynn. You have to admit that your current flying morph sucks when trying to go anywhere fast. Trust me, I know. You can barely keep up with my whirlwind here," he started, motioning to Samantha as she turned a frustrated pink. "Therefore, you will be acquiring the Peregrine Falcon. The one that's currently staring at you in the bird enclosure."Turning to Samantha, Scott chuckled at the look on his daughter's face when he was making fun of Jack. It was fun to get a rise out of his youngest girl. "As for you, Manthy, you my dear will go for the Golden Tiger," he added, pointing to the flash of gold that appeared in the enclosure and proceeded to stare at Samantha. The girl raised an eyebrow and watched her father closely as he read her expression and he rolled his eyes. "Come now my child, you have to admit that even though the Grey Wolf is a very useful morph you need something with more power. Why not a tiger?"Samantha rolled her eyes, not wanting to admit she was wrong, and soon she was cut off by her father chuckling lightly. "Now, which of you two will go first?""I'll do it, just stop smiling like that. GOD Dad!" she grumbled, brushing past her father and making her way to the entrance of the tiger exhibit. Scott shut the door behind her and watched her closely as she entered and started making her way toward the golden tiger. "So, Flynn. You as worked up as she is about my commentary?"[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jack thought it was nice to not actually have to sneak into the Zoo for once to acquire morphs. Granted it was a mostly deserted area, but the animals were still around and people took care of them still, so it wasn't completely deserted. He was here with Sam and her father, Mr. James being the one who had gotten them in here in the first place. However, it seemed like he didn't really have much of an idea of where he was going. Jack was beginning to worry they weren't even anywhere near where they needed to be, but he was soon pleasantly proved wrong as he spotted some tigers.
Jack couldn't help but smile at the two. Sam's dad was kind of entertaining. When they stopped Mr. James explained that Jack was going to get a peregrine falcon so he could have a faster bird morph. He had heard of the particular bird before and had no objections. It was supposed to be one of the fastest animals alive and he could probably use it. "No objections here," he told him. Mr. James then told Sam she would be getting a tiger morph so she could have more firepower. Jack agreed with the choice, it would be useful for what they were planning to do soon.
Mr. James then asked which of the two of them wanted to go first and Sam offered to do so. He watched and waited with her father as Sam went in to acquire the tiger. It was then that he was asked if he was worked up like Sam was. "No, not really," he responded calmly. Jack gave Mr. James a grin. "I think its kind of funny she's all worked up," He stared down as Sam made her way towards a tiger. "Plus, I think it helps keep our minds off the fact that we are getting close to potentially dangerous animals," Jack thought the question was a bit odd though. Why would he be worked up? There didn't seem to be any reason for him to be.

"No, not really, I think its kind of funny she's all worked up. Plus, I think it helps keep our minds off the fact that we are getting close to potentially dangerous animals."
Scott nodded, watching the boy closely as he kept his daughter in his peripheral vision. He waited a few minutes before responding, turning to watch his daughter as she approached the animal. "Taking good care of my girl, are you?" he asked, his eyes narrowing on the boy as he tried to get a reaction out of him. From what he had experienced with the boy, he was not the sharpest tool in the shed. Especially when it came to Samantha.
Samantha took a deep breath, feeling the tiger's gaze upon her and she soon froze. The animal approached her and soon it looked as if it was poised to strike. Scott tensed up as he saw the animal's reaction to his daughter, staring at her closely in case he was needed. Sam held out a hand in surrender as she watched the animal closely. This was a lot harder than wolves. The wolf liked her because she was female, the tiger though... The tiger was a regal animal. It demanded respect. Samantha dipped her head, averting her eyes from the glorious animal and keeping that position as she waited for the tiger to react. The tiger's golden eyes studied the girl, soon she stalked closer to the human that was invading her personal space. She noted the human's body language and the tiger seemed to smirk, closing the gap between them. The animal pressed its furry head into Samantha's hand and let out a deep purr. Samantha blinked in surprise as the tiger bowed its head as a symbol of accepting Samantha's bow. The girl smiled, kneeling down to the tiger's eye level. "Well, hello there,"
[/b] she smiled, softly stroking the animal's fur as the tiger continued to purr deeply. She obviously knew why Samantha was there. "I dunno if you can understand me, but I was hoping I could borrow your form... Is that alright?"The tiger purred, leaning into her touch. Well, it seemed she understood what Samantha meant. Maybe her dad came in and explained earlier. What was she thinking?! This was a wild animal she was talking to! Then again, this animal seemed very perceptive. Maybe animals were not so different from humans. Samantha smiled, closing her eyes as she touched the tiger's head and concentrated. Acquiring a morph was not that hard, but it still took a lot of concentration. The girl felt herself connecting with the tiger, as if it was second nature. "Well thank god she did not get herself killed. I am not sure if either one of us would have been able to grab her in time," Scott commented as he turned back to Jack. "And you, oh mighty leader, you had better be taking good care of her. If I hear anything about something stupid you did to get her into trouble I'll rip you apart."[/size][/blockquote][/blockquote]

Jack heard the next question, but didn't read too much into it. "Yeah, we haven't gotten into too much trouble," he told him. "She can handle herself pretty well," He got that Mr. James probably worried about his daughter and the dangers she exposed herself too, now that she was an Animorph. It was perfectly reasonable and after all as one of the leaders he was responsible in keeping Sam safe. All the while Sam had gotten closer and closer to acquiring the tiger. He remembered how nerve racking it was acquiring his own. It was an interesting experience that was for sure. Any wrong move could cause the tiger to attack and they would have to rush in.
Thankfully, Sam successfully acquired the tiger and Jack let out a sigh of relief. He then turned towards Mr. James as he spoke to him again. Jack nodded, as Mr. James made it clear to keep Sam safe. He didn't blame him at all, Sam's father was looking out for her after all. He needed to know that the leaders could keep an eye on her when Mr. James couldn't himself. "I understand. She's in good hands. Kyle, Ashley, and I do our best to keep the risks as low as possible," he answered. "We'll keep her safe, I promise,"
Jack then turned over towards the bird enclosure, looking at the bird he was going to acquire. He pointed at it. "So my turn next. That's the bird I'm looking at to acquire, right?" he asked Mr. James. "Any useful tips I should know before I get in there?" It was a good question to ask, so he could prepare for any issues that could possibly arise.

"Yeah, we haven't gotten into too much trouble. She can handle herself pretty well."
Well that was not the answer he expected. This kid was really as dense as he seemed. Lord. Scott pinched the bridge of his nose, watching Samantha closely as he tried to process Jack's mindset. It was hard to figure out what kids these days were thinking, especially when they were misinterpreting what you were saying.
"I understand. She's in good hands. Kyle, Ashley, and I do our best to keep the risks as low as possible. We'll keep her safe, I promise."
"Geez kid, you're not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you?"
Hearing the tiger purr once again, the girl blinked in surprise as she saw the animal seemed to grin at her. She turned a light pink and chuckled lightly, shaking her head as she placed her chin on the animal's furry head. She knew by now that the tiger would not hurt her. They had already gone over the whole respect thing, and the two of them respected each other. The girl felt the tiger pull away after a moment and soon she felt its large tongue scrape across her cheek in a delicate fashion. Samantha smiled and scratched behind the tiger's ear, only to hear a sound come from nearby. The golden tiger turned, purring deeply as a white Bengal appeared from the foliage nearby. This one obviously a male. The golden tiger waited for Samantha to stand and soon she gave the human a nudge towards the door. The tiger purred as she placed her head in the human's hand once again and soon she padded off to join her mate. The white tiger looked from its mate to the human, but soon took the female's lead and left Samantha alone. The human took a deep breath, releasing the air she had apparently been holding, and soon she walked out of the enclosure. "I have to say that was probably the scariest damn thing that has ever happened to me. Wasn't that your morph, Jack?" she asked, pointing to the white Bengal in the enclosure as she closed the door.
"Any useful tips I should know before I get in there?"
"I'd say... Don't get killed, and if you need someone to get the birds off you just squawk," Sam teased, her father chuckling in agreement as he opened the door for Jack to enter.

Jack took offense to Sam's father saying he wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed. It wasn't exactly what he was expecting to hear and the confusion was clear on his face. They were talking about the same thing here right? Or was he meaning something else? Before he could think on it further Sam had emerged from the tiger enclosure, asking Jack if the white tiger in there was his morph. "Yeah. I can't say for sure if its the same one or not, but that's the same type of tiger as mine," he responded to her.
He walked over towards the entrance to the bird enclosure. Sam just told him to not get killed and squawk if anything happened. He gave a weak grin. "Funny," he replied not really having a comeback in mind. Mr. James opened the door for him. He took a deep breath and walked through the door. Hearing the door close behind him, he soon spotted the peregrine falcon. He approached it slowly, hoping it wouldn't fly away as it would make it that much harder to acquire. He wasn't entirely sure if the peregrine was a bird that was easily frightened or not. He hoped it wasn't.
He slowly continued his approach. He saw the bird look like it was about to open its wings and stopped. "Easy..." he whispered to it not wanting to be all that loud and possibly scare it away. "I just want to borrow your form...is that alright?" He felt kind of silly talking to a bird, but it seemed to calm it down a bit. He continued slowly and when he was close enough reached out to touch it. He focused and the peregrine went into that passive trance that always seemed to happen when acquiring an animal. When he was finished, he headed back to the door to the enclosure and exited through it. He gave them a grin. "Well, that wasn't so bad,"

"Funny,"
"Not trying to be. If you need me I am right out here," she answered in a more serious tone. Birds were not the best things in the world, but Sam knew they were necessary. Unfortunately, it did not help that the bird Jack was to acquire was huge and she was afraid of what would happen to the boy.
"Cool it Sam-I-Am, he's gonna be fine." Scott chuckled lightly as his daughter turned a bright pink and glared at him. He knew there was something going on there, at least something was going on with his daughter, and it involved Jack. Sarah would not tell him what Sam told her, but he figured it was for the best. The last time Sammie had a crush on a boy it did not end well after Scott found out. That was the last time he would ever chase a five year old around a playground demanding information. Turning back to his daughter, Scott grinned and crossed his arms over his chest. "Now, show me the morph,"
Sam rolled her eyes, leaning against the railing as she crossed her own arms over her chest. "And why would I do that?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at him as Scott shook his head in amusement.
"Because I want to see it!" he answered, a childish whine attached itself to the statement, but he grinned all the same. Sam raised an eyebrow and gave him a look. She knew there was something else he was getting at. "Alright, alright. I wanted to see if Flynn gets confused when he comes out to see a tiger."
"DAD! That's mean!" Sam scolded. She snickered a bit at the thought of Jack coming out to see her in tiger form, but she figured that Jack would be no fun and just know it was her. She shrugged, wanting to try out the morph anyway, and she concentrated on it. Bones reshaped, golden fur appeared and completely covered her body, her hands turned into giant paws, a tail grew out the back end, and her face slowly changed into the powerful gaze of the tiger in the enclosure. <I really think he's not surprised by now, but whatever Dad> Sam commented, her long tongue coming out to clean the back of her paws, much like a cat, as she sat there and groomed a bit on instinct since she had nothing better to do.
