I feel like this is a reoccurring pattern for me. I join an Animorphs RP with you guys, I stick with it for some time, and then I start dropping off the face of the Earth, only to eventually pop up again, months or years later. At least this time there's a heads up.
The Animorphs were the basis for the first RPs I joined and they're the ones I remember the fondest. The Aftermath, The Revival, The Expansion, and finally The Unification. Every time I go back and read the threads I've been in, I can't help but to smile as wide as I can. These websites are magic to me. I've been a member of one of these Animorphs sites off and on for years, ever since the seventh grade, starting with the Aftermath.
And over the course of those years, I've had the opportunities to interact with so many wonderful and amazing individuals. Although it's small, there's a strong community here that I love. You guys are the reasons I've been drawn back to these sites, no matter what incarnation or form they may appear in. You're hilarious, serious, dramatic, flexible, generous, supportive, nice, unique, and altogether very special to me. You guys have made me the writer I am today. I've changed quite a bit since my first appearance as the loud-mouthed teenaged Steve in a single paragraph with barely any complexities or originality. But over the course of many years of working with you all, I've grown up quite a bit.
But now, I fear I must leave the site. Maybe not forever, I do not know. Lately I've started up college and I've had to make a few other changes in my life. I no longer have enough time to allocate to RPing, but I don't think it's fair to just vanish again and leave people hanging. Maybe one day I will return, but for now, I must put role-playing aside as I deal with real life in all of its joys and trials.
But know this: I love you all and you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Yours truly,
Stevert
