Jack couldn't help but shake his head. Typical Sam, it was almost impossible to really argue with her. Somehow she almost always found a way to win. While he wasn't still entirely keen on the idea, he wasn't going to argue it any further. After all Sam would probably end up doing it anyway, might as well go along with it. He smiled back at her. "Alright, I can't exactly argue with that," he responded. He would just need to make sure to watch both their backs extra carefully so she wouldn't have to.
They stayed close together for a couple minutes, until Sam suddenly got up. It was good to see her finally completely out from under the covers. She walked over into her closet and shut her door. He wondered why for a moment, before it hit him what she was probably doing and was a bit embarrassed. It felt a bit awkward to just be sitting in her room, knowing she was changing in the closet a few feet away from him. He wished she would have at least gave him a heads up, he could have waited outside her door. He turned his attention over towards the other wall, wanting to give Sam the privacy she needed. It still didn't get rid of that awkward feeling though.

"Alright, I can't exactly argue with that"
"Good!" she chirped, grinning. Yup. She won. As usual. Though, she should be used to that, she knew most of them well enough to win at some conversations, but Ashley was the one she always tied with. It was probably because they were both girls and they both knew how to manipulate a situation until it goes a certain way.
Tossing her pajamas into the corner of her closet, the girl pulled on an old t-shirt and some jeans, keeping her socks on, and pulled a sweatshirt over her with a shiver. This spaceship was always cold! Sure, she looked a little less of a mess, but she did not feel like getting all dressed up to just sit around the ship with everyone. She certainly did not feel like dealing with Amy, so the rest of the day should be interesting.
Emerging from the closet, the girl snickered lightly at the sight of Jack staring at the far wall, away from the closet. Walking up behind him and wrapping her arms around his waist, Sam chuckled as she placed her head on his. "You know, the only time you really have to do that if I'm changing and the door is closed is if you have X-Ray vision..."

Jack still felt a bit awkward being there at the moment, and hoped Sam wouldn't take too much longer. He was getting anxious just sitting there. Though he was glad she had decided to get dressed, it meant she was feeling better. Hopefully enough that she'd stay out of the covers and actually get out of her room today. He was actually a bit surprised he had been so successful, he thought he might have had a harder time trying to make Sam feel better. He was glad that didn't happen to be the case.
He soon felt arms wrapped around him, followed by Sam's head on top of his. Jack was relieved, he was getting a bit tired of just staring at the wall. Of course Sam teased him about it, pointing out the door was closed and he'd need X-Ray vision to see through it. He grinned. "Hey, maybe I do have x-ray vision and I was trying to be respectful," he teased back. "After all I can change into different animals. For all we know I have x-ray vision too," Of course he didn't really have that power, though it would be kind of cool if he did. It would come in handy on missions.

"Hey, maybe I do have x-ray vision and I was trying to be respectful,"
"Uh huh... Knowing you, if you had X-Ray vision you would not be able to look at me at all for fear of being rude," she snickered, shaking her head at him and pulling him closer. Placing a kiss to the top of his head, the smaller of the two gave him a squeeze and turned her head so her cheek was now on Jack's head. Sighing lightly, she took in the scent of his shampoo and smiled lightly. It was strange how different boys and girls were, every person had a specific scent. Thankfully the Animorph men were some of the few that did NOT smell like a mixture of BO, man smell, and manure. All in all it just smelled like the color brown and it was unsettling to the stomach.
Blowing her bangs out of her face, Sam sighed and looked down at Jack from her perch above him. "Now what?" she asked, quirking an eyebrow curiously as she looked at him. She was not in the mood to leave the room just yet, but Jack was there so it made things less boring in her room. Sure, there was tv and other things to do in there, but it was boring and rather pathetic by yourself. Regardless, she figured she could ask what he wanted to do. It could not hurt to seek input every once in awhile, could it? Either way she wanted to know what he was thinking, she was not a mind-reader so she was always left guessing with this boy. It was a little obnoxious at times, but it kept her on her toes and it was one of the few things she liked about not knowing things. You get to draw your own conclusions.

Jack had to laugh at that one. "Okay, you got me there," he responded still chuckling. That was one thing he really liked about Sam, she was always so sharp. He couldn't always come up with a witty retort and Sam always had some good ones. It helped she had such a good sense of humor and there were always the rare occasions where he had the better comeback, the look on her face was always priceless. Though moments like now were better. It was nice being here with her and to see her in a better mood then the past couple days.
Sam then asked him what to do now. That was a good question. He hadn't really thought much of what to do here besides try and make Sam feel better. Now that he had succeeded he was a bit at a loss for what to do. "To be honest, I have no idea," he answered with a smile. "I only went as far as trying to cheer up and didn't think of what to do afterwords," He looked up at her or at least did the best he could to do so since her head was resting on his. "Did you have any ideas in particular?"

Sam snickered as Jack admitted she got him there. She knew him well enough by now that he most likely WOULD do that if he had X-Ray vision. At least he was a gentleman and would not use his powers for peeping purposes if he had them, but that was something she loved about Jack. He was always respectable and he had a goofy side, which amused her greatly. It was fun to go toe to toe with the Animorph leader, but it seemed she won most of the time due to her quick wit. It was not something she would complain about, but it was interesting to watch Jack react to her comments.
"To be honest, I have no idea,"
A groan passed her lips as she flopped over onto her side on the bed. She had released Jack before her outburst of frustration, thankfully, but she soon pulled the blankets over her head once again as she heard him ask for her suggestions. "All I know is I don't wanna go outside just yet," she answered, turning onto her stomach as she grumbled lightly. It was times like these when she wished she had the imagination of an eight year old and then she could make a blanket fort and have great adventures, not caring about the outside world. Why couldn't they all go back to being kids again? Things would be a lot easier when you were blissfully ignorant about the world around you and you made your own universe when you were bored or just wanted to get away for awhile. Imagination was something that Sam envied about smaller children. Her youngest brother still had quite an imagination and she admired that about him. At the age of fifteen he was still running around and building random forts around the Sanctuary and starting sword fights with Tyler.
Peeking out from under the covers, the brunette stared up at the boy and sighed. "So fearless leader, give us some ideas for stuff to do unless something is wrong and you wanna talk."
